What has been your cruise highlight in the last year?
My cruise highlight of 2025 is without a doubt my first ever voyage with Crystal. I initially spotted Crystal Serenity in Mumbai and was instantly intrigued, so I treated myself to a short break in the Mediterranean to experience her for myself. From the moment I stepped on board, I was smitten. The guest-to-space ratio is among the best at sea, and the included speciality dining options were phenomenal, from Umi Uma by Nobu Matsuhisa to the elegant Osteria d’Ovidio and the stylish Beefbar. The traditional afternoon tea was such a treat too. One of my favourite places on board was the wide teak promenade deck, a beautifully traditional space I often had entirely to myself. I can’t wait to head back on board one day!
What's your dream cruise destination?
My dream cruise destination is currently the Galápagos Islands. I absolutely love wildlife, nature and cruising, so to explore these unique islands would be a dream come true. I’d love to see the penguins, the incredible marine iguanas and the famous blue-footed boobies!
What is the one thing you will not travel without?
I cannot travel without my camera. Capturing memories is such a big part of cruising for me. I love being able to look back and relive every moment. I find joy in photographing every moment, from beautiful local architecture to fascinating wildlife and, of course, the ship I’m cruising on.
What do you do before your cruise to make sure you are well prepared to make the most of your holiday?
Before a cruise holiday, I always like to explore the deck plan of the ship I’ll be sailing on. It helps me get a feel for the layout and make sure I don’t miss any of the venues once I’m on board. Then, when embarkation day arrives, I can head straight out to explore in person.
How long have you been cruising for and what makes it stand out as a great holiday choice?
I started cruising back in 2004 and I’ve now explored the world on 70 voyages. I love sailing with my husband, but I’m just as happy cruising solo too. For me, it’s one of the most wonderful ways to travel. You step on board a beautiful ship, unpack once and wake up in a new destination every day, ready to explore. Cruising offers a brilliant taste of different countries and cities, all while enjoying the comforts of life at sea.
