Oceania Sonata has been shaped by guest feedback, wanting more space in their suites and public spaces as well as refreshed colour palates. After thoughtful redesigns, suites are now lighter and more open, while the dining options are reinvented with exceptional flavours and culinary artistry. The spirit of this beautiful new ship remains the same warm, inviting and calming atmosphere that Oceania Cruises are renowned for, yet the spaces are refreshingly new in every detail.
Following guest feedback, Oceania have expanded their suite proposition with Sonata. Expect redesigned spaces, fresh, airy colour themes and a highly-anticipated new suite category – the Horizon Suite. This new suite has been thoughtfully designed for spaciousness and serenity, accompanied by the personalised service of a butler, who will be there to cater to our every need throughout your voyage.
Sonata will also proudly offer the new Penthouse Deluxe Suite, inspired by the guest favourite Penthouse Suite. Each Penthouse Deluxe Suite offers guests a haven of tranquility, filled with luxurious fabrics, modern décor and thoughtfully curated spaces, detailed to perfection.
Guests can still enjoy their favourite suites, including Owner’s, Vista and Oceania Suites, all offering airy living and dining spaces, elegant baths and expansive verandas where you can relax and admire each beautiful destination. All staterooms will offer an oversized bathroom and rainforest showers, as well as incredible amounts of closet and drawer space so you can make yourself at home, and of course, their infamous Tranquility Bed, renowned amongst guests for its comfort and luxurious feel.

Sonata’s new bars and lounges will become the hallmark for modern quiet luxury; relaxed and calm yet impressively sophisticated. With a host of specialty carts and bespoke pairings exclusive to the ship, Oceania Cruises have centred their focus around mixology with Sonata. From Horizons to Opus Lounge, the luxury line has curated new immersive experiences where guests can enjoy a vast array of creative concoctions, from inventive cocktails to refined spirits.
Guests can enjoy the much-beloved Aquamar Spa and Vitality Centre on board Sonata, but with more space and more facilities to relax in, including relaxing treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and a spacious salon. The Aquamar Terrace is a restful space for guests to unwind, with plush loungers, plunge pools and whirlpool spas, all in a serene setting with stunning views overlooking the sea.
This refreshed space on board Sonata provides a creative space for guests to learn and feel inspired, experimenting with different flavours and ingredients using state-of-the-art-tools. Oceania have produced a “culinary symphony” on board, as Sonata ushers in a “striking new chapter of The Finest Cuisine at Sea®.” The luxury cruise line has elevated their dining concepts, fusing flavours together and creating exceptional taste more than ever before.
La Table par Maîtres Cuisiniers de France will be one of two phenomenal new culinary options debuting on Sonata. The restaurant will be the only one at sea approved by the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (Master Chefs of France, MCF), a globally renowned French association founded with the intention to promote the French culinary arts. Oceania’s exceptional culinary program is being overseen by its two Executive Culinary Directors, both of which have been admitted to the MCF and re-enforcing the expertise, detail and thought that’s put into every dish.
Seating just 19 guests, this will be an intimate, sophisticated experience that features a rotation of delectable menus created by none other than a number of the Masterchefs of France themselves. For those already fond of Oceania’s Dom Perignon experience, a six-course tasting menu paired with bottles of vintage champagnes, La Table will be the setting for its reprisal.
Alongside the French culinary artistry, Sonata guests will also be introduced to Nikkei Kitchen, a fresh, modern and vibrant evening venue that fuses Peruvian flavours with Japanese techniques. The restaurant’s cuisine is inspired by the history of Japanese immigration to Peru, where they adapted the South American cuisine to their own traditional recipes. Indulge in a vast array of distinctive dishes, centred around exquisite signature seafood and infused with citrus flavours, soy-based sauces and spicy peppers. The venue will have no reservations and will operate on a first-come basis, allowing guests to enjoy flexibility and ease when they dine.
Of course, in addition to these two new dining options, will also be their other spectacular signature favourites, from pan-Asian Red Ginger and the line’s elegant French venue Jacques to the Grand Dining Room, Polo Grill steakhouse and Toscana, serving Italian favourites.
