Find Out More About Crystal Cruises
The arrival of Crystal Grace is set to mark an important new chapter for Crystal Cruises. Scheduled to enter service on June 11 2028, the Crystal Grace cruise ship is being developed as the line's first new ocean vessel in 25 years, joining sister ships Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, combining the refined atmosphere associated with Crystal with a selection of new concepts.
The Crystal Grace cruise ship is currently planned to welcome up to 650 guests, with 330 ocean-view rooms and suites and nine dining venues. While the ship is not yet sailing, Crystal has progressively released details about its accommodation, restaurants, public spaces and entertainment programme, giving prospective guests an increasingly detailed picture of what to expect.
The first scheduled voyage is due to depart Civitavecchia near Rome on 11 June 2028, with the inaugural itinerary travelling to Fusina, Venice.
Food is expected to be a major part of the Crystal Grace cruise ship experience, with nine complimentary dining venues planned across the ship. Rather than relying on a single main restaurant, guests will have a variety of settings and cuisines to choose from throughout their voyage.
Among the most anticipated venues is Umi Uma, Crystal's Japanese-Peruvian restaurant created with chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The restaurant is planned to feature a sushi bar and expansive ocean views, with reservations required due to limited availability.
Another highlight will be Osteria d'Ovidio, an Italian restaurant being developed with the Alajmo brothers. The venue is expected to combine sophisticated Italian cuisine with an outdoor terrace overlooking the sea.
For something more contemporary, Beefbar will bring Riccardo Giraudi's concept to the ship. Its menu is expected to centre on premium meat, seafood and plant-based dishes, alongside more informal options designed for sharing. Outdoor dining areas are also planned.
The dining line-up extends beyond speciality restaurants. Waterside Restaurant will provide the main dining experience, while Marketplace will offer buffet-style breakfast and lunch. The Bistro is planned as a more relaxed café-style venue, and Trident Grill will serve casual favourites.
Guests with a sweet tooth will have Scoops Gelato Bar, featuring gelato from Florence-based artisan Badiani. There will also be 24-hour in-suite dining, allowing guests to enjoy selected dishes in the privacy of their accommodation.
Drinks and social spaces will form another part of life aboard Crystal Grace. The ship is planned to include a pool bar, Crystal Cove and other areas where guests can enjoy a drink before dinner or settle in for an evening of conversation and live music.
The entertainment programme aboard Crystal Grace is being designed to provide plenty of choice without compromising the sophisticated atmosphere expected of a luxury cruise.
At the heart of the evening programme will be the Galaxy Lounge, where Crystal plans to present Broadway-standard productions and headline performances. The venue will also be used for lectures and enrichment during the day, giving it a broader role than a traditional cruise theatre.
For a more intimate night out, the Avenue Saloon is planned as a piano bar where guests can listen to live music while enjoying a cocktail. The Stardust Club will offer a livelier alternative, with dancing, cabaret, shows and themed events on selected evenings.
Another distinctive addition is Le Casino de Monte-Carlo. The casino is expected to feature table games and slot machines within a setting inspired by the famous Monaco institution.
Entertainment will not stop when the sun comes up. Crystal Grace is planned to offer activities including pickleball, paddle tennis, table tennis, shuffleboard and golf practice facilities. The ship will also feature wellness facilities and a fitness centre for guests who prefer to stay active during their cruise.
Crystal has also announced dedicated spaces for younger guests. A Waves Teen Centre is planned for Deck 11, while a dedicated outdoor area and reimagined Fantasia Children's Playroom will add further family facilities.
Crystal Grace ship will have 330 ocean-view rooms and suites, with every accommodation category benefiting from 24-hour private butler service.
At the top of the range is the Crystal Owner's Suite. This residence-style accommodation is planned to offer up to 1,986 square feet of interior space, alongside a veranda of up to 2,187 square feet. Its aft position is designed to provide expansive views, while the outdoor area is expected to include a private hot tub, shower and dining space.
Crystal Cruises is also introducing wraparound verandas on selected suite categories aboard Crystal Grace. The Penthouse Panorama Suites can measure up to 1,221 square feet, with verandas reaching up to 983 square feet.
Other planned categories include Penthouse Suites, Junior Penthouse Suites and several Sapphire options. Some accommodation categories can be configured as two-bedroom suites, providing additional flexibility for families or groups travelling together.
The focus throughout is on space, privacy and personalised service. Guests can expect features such as in-suite dining, minibar customisation, turndown service and complimentary Wi-Fi as part of Crystal's all-inclusive offering.
As Crystal Grace has not yet entered service, prospective guests should bear in mind that the published accommodation specifications represent the current plans and may be updated before the ship's debut.
Although Crystal Grace will not launch until 2028, voyages are already available to book, allowing travellers to plan well ahead for the ship's first season.
The inaugural sailing is scheduled to leave Civitavecchia on 11 June 2028 and arrive in Fucina, Venice, on 19 June after eight nights. Crystal Grace cruise ship also sails on longer European and Mediterranean itineraries, including voyages between Rome and Barcelona and extended sailings of more than a month. C Crystal Cruises
